General Admission Tickets

Gumbo tasting tickets may be purchased for $25 per person ($15 for persons under 21 years old) in advance or at the event. Tickets include gumbo tasting, voting in the People’s Choice Competition, live music from the Mighty Souls Brass Band, and a beer or soft drink ticket. Beer provided by High Cotton Brewing Co. and Yazoo Brewing Co. All participants will be required to present a valid, government issued Photo ID to consume beer at the contest.

Gumbo Team Registration - SOLD OUT

All 16 team spaces sold out on January 26, 2014. The Gumbo Planning Committee invites those who missed the opportunity to compete to register for the 2015 competition and to attend and taste the gumbos competing in 2014.

Gumbo teams of any size may register to compete in the 2014 contest as early as December 2013 for just $25. All contestants must pre-register for the Gumbo contest prior to February 8, 2014 or as long as space is available. Registered gumbo teams will be given 3 tickets for tasting other gumbos for the People's Choice Award (tickets includes live music and a beer or soft drink ticket). Individual team members beyond the first 3 team members must purchase general admission tickets ($25/person) to participate in the People's Choice tasting. Gumbo team members are encouraged to participate in the judging for People’s Choice Awards. Teams are also eligible for a Team Spirit Award for decorating their table and providing information about their organization. Registered contestants may increase their chance for a People’s Choice award by inviting their friends to the event.
